On 2–4 September 2026, the Faculty of Archaeology of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań hosted the 21st World Congress of the International Union of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences. The presented papers discussed the results of research conducted within two projects in the field of the archaeology of modern armed conflicts, carried out at the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Lodz:
