The jury and winners of the Prime Time competition

The opening of the Prime Time 2025 exhibition, along with the official announcement of the winners, was held at the Art Factory Łódź on 20 March of the current year. Marta Cienkowska, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, attended the event. The exhibition and the accompanying competition are among the most important artistic initiatives of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź – for over two decades, they have been supporting young artists entering the professional art scene. Our university has been a partner of this competition for two years. We award the prize to creators of works that stand out not only for their high artistic potential but also for their important social themes. This way, we aim to strengthen projects that open up a space for dialogue about what matters, what moves, touches and engages us.

This time, we awarded two people

  • The UniLodz Award was presented to Julia Woskresińska for her work "Twin Blame – a collection of fabrics with various functions". It is a story about the search for identity, autonomy and the influence of relationships on shaping one's self. The award includes a solo exhibition at the Wozownia Gallery at the University of Lodz. The artist also received an Honorary Mention from the main jury of the Prime Time 2025 competition.

The project combines aesthetics with a social mission. The University of Lodz Honourable Mention includes an invitation to participate in a scientific and artistic project. Science and culture at UniLodz

Cooperation with the cultural community is ingrained in our academic DNA and has many faces. Popular science projects that combine science and art in a shared dialogue is one example. It's a space where different disciplines, inspirations and ways of viewing the world meet.

In last year's edition of the competition, we awarded Klaudia Stańko. Her exhibition "Tomorrow You" is on view until 3 April 2026 at the Wozownia Gallery at the University of Lodz. Not only did we reward Klaudia with access to the exhibition space, but above all, we created a full programme of events around her exhibition under the slogan "Tomorrow You. Toward Transhumanism". On Tuesday, 31 March at 7:00 p.m., we would like to invite you to the Biedermann’s Palace to attend a discussion "On Loneliness and Relationships in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" – an event accompanying this year's exhibition.
