I. Max Weber Fellowship
The programme is intended for researchers who obtained their doctoral degree within the last five years.
- Research areas: economics, history, law, political and social sciences.
- Duration: one or two years (depending on the department).
- Funding: a fellowship of €2,500 per month, a family and travel allowance, health insurance and research and mobility funds.
- Eligibility: the programme is open to researchers up to five years after the award of their doctoral degree; two places are reserved specifically for candidates from Poland.
- Application deadline: 16 October 2026.

II. Jean Monnet Fellowship
The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (EUI) is accepting applications for Jean Monnet Fellowships for the 2027/2028 academic year. This one-year postdoctoral fellowship is aimed at researchers who obtained their doctoral degree more than five years ago.
- Scope: the research project must align with the Centre’s programmes or ongoing research projects.
- Funding: a fellowship of €2,850 per month as well as a family and travel allowance.
- Eligibility: the programme is open to researchers from around the world; one place is reserved specifically for a candidate from Poland.
- Duration: 12 months.
- Application deadline: 23 October 2026.
