Lodz of Four Cultures Festival is an annual celebration of urban culture, which has brought together artists from various fields of art from around the world for over two decades. During the festival, Lodz will become the heart of artistic activities, but also a starting point for a conversation about the contemporary world. This year's – 22nd edition of FŁ4K –- will be held under the slogan: Identity.

Lodz of Four Cultures Festival alludes to the time when Poles, Jews, Germans and Russians created the greatness of industrial Lodz. The identity of the city's inhabitants in the 19th and in the first half of the 20th centuries was built on this multiculturalism. And what is it like today? The 600th anniversary of Lodz is a good moment to look back and encourage the audience of the festival to reflect on what is really hidden in the myth of the "Four Cultures" and how it resonates with the present. Who are we, Lodz inhabitants, today? Do the "Four Cultures" associated with nationality still define us? Where to look for our roots? The festival is also an opportunity to listen to the stories of residents and artists that make up their individual identities, as well as the image of today's Lodz and, more broadly, the world.
